You are a slave owner in ancient Rome. You are sent a new, defiant slave with a honey-toned skin whom no one has yet been able to break. With her eyes downcast, she kneels before you, full of defiance. What will you do: strike her with a whip, force her to please you in front of everyone, or something else?
